B Corp Pending
We’re committed to using our business as a force for good, which is why we have joined a global community who share the same desire and values.
Our journey towards B Corp UK certification has prompted us to reflect deeply on our mission at Rhombus. Its reaffirmed the value of Bristol’s community and inspiring our team to envision an even brighter future for the studio.
We are making the commitment to hold ourselves accountable, continuously striving to shape the studio into the sustainable organisation we aspire to be, whilst drawing inspiration and knowledge from the incredible B Corp community to encourage positive change beyond our own studio.
What is a Certified B Corporation?
A Certified B Corp is a company that has met rigorous social and environmental performance standards set by B Lab, a non-profit organisation.
B Corps are committed to balancing profit with purpose, and they undergo a comprehensive assessment of their impact on various stakeholders, including workers, customers, suppliers, the community, and the environment.
The certification signifies a company’s commitment to using business as a force for good, prioritising not only financial success but also social and environmental responsibility.
Why do we want to be certified?
We shape brands with impact, so we want to make our own positive impact.
It’s a declaration of our commitment to being a responsible business that contributes to Bristol and beyond — shaping the studio into the sustainable organisation we aspire to be.
B Corp fosters community engagement by connecting us with a global network of businesses committed to positive change. It provides opportunities for collaboration and shared learning.
In essence, pursuing B Corp certification is a decision that goes beyond compliance. It’s a declaration of our commitment to being a responsible and sustainable business that seeks to contribute positively to the world.
Where we’re at:
We’ve now officially submitted and are proud to be scoring highly from the outset – specifically in the ‘Community’ and ‘Workers’ categories – meeting high standards of social performance.
Community evaluates our engagement with, and impact on, the communities in which we operate and source from. Community has always been integral to the way we operate, such as working with local charities to support local, positive change, and with progressive businesses in Bristol and beyond.
We’re also big on creating a work environment that allows creative minds to thrive. The Workers category evaluates these contributions to our team’s wellness and satisfaction.
There are now over 2000 B Corps in the UK alone. We hope with our continued efforts we’ll be able to officially be a proud part of the B Corp community very soon.
