Cheers Drive
Designing the future of food aid
Cheers Drive, an initiative led by Caring in Bristol, saw businesses in Bristol pull together to help feed the homeless during the pandemic. Cheers Drive was set up as a humanitarian response to a crisis: hundreds of people experiencing homelessness were placed into self contained spaces, such as hotels and B&Bs, under the government’s ‘Everyone In’ scheme, but had no access to cooking facilities or safe way of accessing food elsewhere.
We created a revolutionary food-aid Identity inspired by fast food brands and takeout delivery services, building the brand and campaign assets, including animation.
We helped the scheme by donating our time and design work for free. Cheers Drive served over 100,000 meals in 2020, delivering restaurant quality meals prepared by Bristol hospitality royalty such as the Pony & Trap, Salt & Malt, Pasta Loco, Emmeline, Bianchi’s and Kensington Arms.
“We couldn’t have marketed this vital service with such speed and efficiency without the role that Rhombus played”
