Early Doors
A brand for the community, by the community.
Early Doors is on a mission to educate and empower communities to navigate housing issues in Bristol. The brand needed to speak to Bristol’s diverse community, which informed all of our design choices.
We worked with the charities to get feedback from the people who will use and interact with Early Doors. This collaboration not only meant the brand works but gave the local community ownership of the final identity.
We chose a type system with versatile characters sets – meaning the brand can communicate to British, Polish, Lithuanian, Romanian, Arabic, Ukrainian, Hindi and Somali communities.The colour palette is vibrant and diverse like it’s audience. Bright enough to get people’s attention through print campaigns, with enough colours to help users navigate collateral, like the invaluable Housing Handbook.
Working with Caring in Bristol, Housing Matters and their clients, we built an accessible and vibrant brand identity for their Early Doors project, inspired by conversation and community.
